Custom Order Fulfillment for Shopify

Shopify LogoShopify is one of the most popular ecommerce shopping carts. One of the main reasons for this is the level of customisation that you have at your fingertips. You can add any number of apps which gives you the opportunity to add new features to your store to either help improve  your efficiency, reduce order administration time, make your webstore look better or help improve your marketing. One of the great features that is often overlooked is the ability to fulfil your orders automatically – in effect you can completely outsource the fulfilment of orders from the moment they’re made on your website.

To set this up on your Shopify store, the process is simple.

Navigate to Settings > Shipping and scroll to the bottom of the page and add a new custom service. Add in the name of the service, for clarity we suggest Cloud Fulfilment and your email address.

The next step is to get your API credentials. You can find the link to this from your Apps page which is linked from the main menu on the right-hand-side of the page:

then scroll to the bottom of the page for the link to the “private API key”:

on the next page click the big green button to get your API details:
Chocolatiers ~ Apps ~ Private ~ Shopify
then add those details into your API settings page within Cloud Fulfilment. When logged-in navigate here, otherwise; log-in manually, click “settings” in the top menu and then the “Shopify” option. Following this add your details into the relevant shop name (you can run a number of online store from the one Cloud Fulfilment account):

The next step is to decide which products you would like to have fulfilled by us and which you would like to handle yourself. To do this, visit each product you would like us to fulfil, scroll down to Inventory & variants and click “edit”. On the pop-up which appears change the Fulfilment drop-down to “Cloud Fulfilment”.
