How do you handle split and back orders?
Back orders are handled automatically with Cloud Fulfilment. Orders can be allocated a ‘priority’ and if not, they’ll be processed on a ‘first come first served’ basis. That means once your stock arrives, your back orders will automatically be allocated stock and despatched to your customers.
If only part of the order is out of stock, it’s possible to split the order. When you split the order, the available stock is despatched immediately and you can choose whether to create a back order for the other lines, or just remove them from the order altogether.
